Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Authority Officer to join the Employment Relations Authority (ERA).
Bring your experience in providing support, advice, coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
The role will require you to be technically competent and to undertake assessments with sound decision making in regard to your own caseload of files. You will also be required to support the ERA Business Support Manager and the team to ensure quality and consistency of advice, case management, good administration practice and provide operational case management support to the ERA members.
The Senior Authority Officer has a key role in ensuring that files within the local office and nationally are effectively and efficiently managed, that parties experience a professional service focused on supporting the needs of the customer and that members of the ERA are provided with high quality information and service.

Skills and Experience Required
- A proven track record of experience in operating front line response, allocation functions and case management or similar.
- A high standard of organisational skills and ability to prioritise time and workload.
- Experience in coaching and leading individuals or teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Good knowledge of the relevant employment legislation, operational policy, practice frameworks and business processes and how these should be applied to effectively undertake case assessment and allocation.
- The ability to foster an inclusive working environment that supports, leverages and celebrates diversity.
- Mental agility to multi-task, dealing with ad hoc requests through to completion within tight timeframes, while maintaining a positive outlook.
- You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
