As a Support Officer (ERA) with Employment New Zealand, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the Employment Relations Authority (ERA) operates effectively. You’ll provide essential administrative and operational support, from document management and office support to coordinating travel and meetings. You’ll also be the friendly face that helps colleagues and stakeholders get what they need, contributing to a positive experience for everyone we work with.
This is a permanent opportunity based in our Wellington office, working as part of a national support team. You’ll be a reliable point of contact, ensuring colleagues and stakeholders have the assistance they need while delivering timely, accurate, and professional support that makes a real impact.
This position is office-based and supports a public-facing office open until 5pm Monday-Friday.

Skills and Experience Required
• Strong administration skills, able to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Customer service mindset, experience in hospitality, retail, or contact centres is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail
• Confidence with systems and processes, including data entry and document preparation
• Collaborative approach, builds positive relationships and works well in a team
• Proactive and solutions-focused attitude, takes initiative and delivers results
• Understanding of Te Ao Māori or willingness to learn
