Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
As a Senior Investment Analyst, you’ll provide leadership and expertise across the full investment lifecycle- from assessing proposals, undertaking due diligence and financial modelling, through to contract management and ongoing monitoring, with a particular focus on credit management. You’ll work closely with Investment Directors and senior leaders, contributing to major capital investment decisions and supporting escalated or higher risk investments.
In this role you will:
- Assess investment proposals and undertake detailed financial and market analysis
- Conduct due diligence on companies and organisations, including financial statement review and risk assessment
- Support the development of investment evalautionsevaluations and provide clear, robust investment advice
- Assist with preparing briefings for Ministers, Crown Regional Holdings Ltd, and Kānoa leadership
- Contribute to reporting on commercial and regional economic activity
- Lead or support projects, providing intellectual leadership and mentoring to analysts
- Assist with workstreams relating to credit restructuring, and the management of risk escalated investments
- Build strong relationships with regional partners, banks, fund managers and other stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in investment management, commercial analysis or financial advisory work, ideally with exposure to debt and equity investment. You will also bring:
- Extensive experience researching, analysing, and evaluating investment opportunities
- Strong understanding of risk management, including restructuring considerations
- Excellent written skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and juggle priorities
- Strong numerical and financial modelling skills
- Right to live and work in New Zealand
