  • We are looking for a Senior Governance Advisor to join the Strategy and Governance team. The team is responsible for delivering the governance function for the immigration system and refreshing the strategic direction. 
  • The role is fixed-term for 12 months to cover for a secondment.
  • Salary: $101,911 - $121,196

Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

The Strategy and Governance team sits in the office of the Deputy Secretary Immigration and is responsible for maintaining and improving the immigration system governance model and the implementation of the immigration strategy. 


As Senior Advisor Governance you will:

 

  • be responsible for providing high quality secretariat support to immigration system governance groups.
  • be comfortable engaging with senior leaders and key stakeholders. 
  • be customer centric in your approach and always looking for ways to add value and improve processes. 
  • Help drive a refresh of the governance model

  • Proven experience in governance support services, including setting agendas, engaging with committee members and the chair, maintaining forward agendas and action registers and minute taking 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to identify and deliver process improvements
