About the Role - Tēnei tūranga:

You will support our work in the high-profile Immigration New Zealand (INZ) portfolio by delivering external communications advice and services.

You will provide high quality communications support to Ministers’ offices, deal with media inquiries and draft communications plans. It's a fast-paced and challenging environment but a rewarding one! 

Ideally you will have around five years' experience in creating and delivering communications strategies and supporting material. 

Both roles are offered on a fixed term  basis - Please mention in your cover letter which term you are interested in or if you are interested in being considered for durations!

• manage our media relationships 
• write engaging content for a range of channels and stakeholders 
• work with our fantastic multi-media, marketing, design and digital channel gurus to create meaningful content that reaches the right people 
• build strong networks with senior managers across MBIE, as well as our staff and key internal and external stakeholders 
• know about Government decision-making and operating procedures. 
• be proactive, positive, bring great ideas to the table, have sound judgement and discretion 
• manage competing priorities in a way that makes all our customers feel like they are our only customers.
