Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

Positive change is in motion. But to ensure we maintain the right momentum, expertise and energy to deliver meaningful change for society and a nationwide scale, we need the right people onboard as part of our mission. And that's where you come in. Bring your passion, experience and drive and contribute to a truly worthwhile purpose – influencing and shaping positive change across the motu, for all New Zealanders.

NZGP is a branch within The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). We have a vision for New Zealand’s government procurement to be fair, transparent, inclusive, and efficient. It will deliver more value and respond to changing government priorities. While we live and breathe procurement, our branch is a support function to those doing the mahi in the procurement system –government agencies and the suppliers and providers they work with. We are less of a procurement shop than a shop filled with data, systems, communications, contract and project management people who love procurement. And yes, we have some procurement specialists!

Reporting to the AoG Portfolio Manager we currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Commercial Specialist to join a high performing team within the New Zealand Government Procurement Branch.

The Senior Commercial Specialist AoG works collaboratively to ensure that a segment of collaborative government contracts generate the best value for New Zealand, while ensuring that agencies needs are being met. Each Category team is responsible for a delegated portfolio/category of government expenditure.

This role will be based within the Property Services Portfolio, it will have a focus on facilities management and workplace and classroom furniture’s. Direct experience in these areas is not essential but could be of benefit.
