Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

As a Senior Advisor (Strategic Engagement), you will plan and deliver end-to-end engagement activity that connects Ministers and senior leaders with key businesses and stakeholders. 


You will:
•    Design and coordinate high-value engagements that are targeted, well-informed and aligned to programme priorities.
•    Produce high-quality briefings and communications for Ministers and senior leaders.
•    Build strong relationships across business, government and stakeholder groups.
•    Capture insights from engagements and translate them into intelligence that informs future strategy and programme delivery.


This role sits at the intersection of policy, delivery and stakeholder engagement—requiring sound judgement, political awareness, and the ability to operate effectively at pace.

Skills and Experience Required
 

We are looking for someone who is confident operating in a fast-paced, politically aware environment and can collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality work.


We are keen to hear from you if you have:
•    5+ years of experience in a public sector or engagement role.
•    Experience supporting or engaging with senior leaders or Ministers’ offices.
•    Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly build credibility
•    Proven experience developing high-quality written materials, including briefings, for Ministers and senior leaders
•    Excellent judgement and an understanding of government processes and protocols 
•    Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
•    A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to delivery
