Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
We have three roles available: (Please indicate your preference on your application noting each application will be considered for roles in both teams)
- 1 x Senior Advisor Product role reporting the Manager Digital Engagement, Small Business and Manufacturing.
- 2 x Senior Advisor Products and Marketing roles reporting to the Manager Products and Marketing.
These roles sit in the Engagement & Experience Branch, Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery. Engagement & Experience supports millions of customer interactions each year and works closely with others to ensure customers have the information and education they need to act with confidence. Put simply - we make it easy for people to do the right thing.
The Senior Advisor Product will primarily be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining content, tools, and resources on the business.govt.nz website. You will lead product development from inception (based on government priorities and small business needs), to research (with research agency), to creation (with our writers and developers), to measuring its impact and maintenance.
- Establishing, building, and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external partners and subject matter experts across government and the private sector (i.e. aspects of account management / stakeholder management).

The Senior Advisor Products and Marketing roles will primarily be responsible for:
- Ensuring our search engine marketing, social media, email marketing, event collateral, webinars, print publications and other marketing activity successfully deliver key content and messages.
- Planning and delivering effective public information campaigns to support legislative changes and other priorities that are designed to allow our customers to make informed decisions.
- Advising on best practice digital and offline marketing and product development to support the work of the wider team.
- In these roles you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects across a variety of regulatory systems. Experience of working within a regulatory environment and using a variety of channels to drive behaviour change is beneficial.

We are keen to hear from you if you have:
- At least 5 years’ proven experience in delivering or developing customer value by putting customer needs at the centre of your work.
- Ability to work well in team environments, collaborate with all levels and utilise others experience and skills to achieve your goals for the customer.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven ability articulating complex ideas clearly and confidently with precise attention to detail.
- Ability to engage and influence partners and subject matter experts. This requires confidence in dealing face-to-face with one-on-one situations or groups and learning quickly about the partners’ perspectives, the detail of their needs, and identifying opportunities of mutual benefit.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects efficiently and to prioritise competing commitments.
- Strong copy writing (business writing) skills, and ability to focus on key details.
- Sound understanding of online information technology systems, including experience with management of digital communications channels including website and social media.
- Proven experience with marketing communications campaign development and execution.
- Proven ability to develop trust and credibility with partners and subject matter experts and within their own team.
