Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
The Operational Marketing team operates within Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment whose role is to educate the world about migrating to New Zealand. Contribute to MBIE’s purpose to “Grow Aotearoa New Zealand for all” by:
- Building and monitoring digital migrant attraction programmes
- Working with Immigration policy and operational teams to design public information campaigns
- Designing customer centric information technology tools for prospective and new migrants
- Developing email and marketing automation programmes for Immigration NZ’s varied audiences.
- You will be working with an extended team of committed marketing and communications professionals
- Use your knowledge and expertise to work in partnership with the marketing manager, team, and stakeholders of Immigration New Zealand to deliver fit for purpose marketing solutions that advance the reconnection of New Zealand to the world, Refugee Resettlement, and Migrant Settlement and Integration Strategies.
- This position will also mentor and coach in the team’s kaitiakitanga role, embedding best practice marketing, content and analysis across the team
- You can be looking for your first step into a senior marketing advisor role, or be a seasoned marketing professional, the role will scale with your experience

Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in the planning, execution and review of digital marketing strategies and tactics
- Wide ranging knowledge of email and marketing automation methodologies
- Experience in content development for paid and organic social including video production
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing roles requiring stakeholder management and influencing
- Strong creative, analytical and critical thinking skills
