We are looking for a talented and proactive Senior Advisor to join our Leadership, Talent & Growth (LT&G) team, within People & Culture.
This role provides support to People & Culture (P&C) and the wider business, contributing to leadership and talent experience, across areas such as employee engagement, performance and development, talent and succession planning, and organisational recognition and awards programmes.
The role plays a key part in delivering people-centred, leader-led LT&G projects aligned with MBIE’s People Strategy. It offers proactive, high-quality advice to drive consistency and continuous improvement, while partnering with stakeholders to resolve complex issues, support informed talent decisions, and design initiatives that enhance employee experience and enable the delivery of business strategy.

We are looking for someone who:
- In-depth organisational development expertise with a track record of shaping and delivering high-quality advice and solutions
- Proven experience in leading strategy and framework development and implementation
- Strong knowledge of organisational development trends and best practices
- Solid business acumen and understanding of organisational needs
- Advanced analytical, planning, prioritisation, and execution skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to challenge constructively
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
- Legal right to live and work in New Zealand
