Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

The Our Future Services programme will deliver a more cost-effective immigration system that is more productive, more effective at managing immigration risk, and provides a better experience for our customers and staff. 


The programme will be delivered through multiple workstreams working in parallel, with each workstream implementing key initiatives with set milestone dates.


You will be part of the Immigration New Zealand Finance team within Corporate and Digital Shared Services group. As a Principal Project Accountant, you will play a key role in building and monitoring the financial reporting for this programme and will report to the Head of Finance – Immigration New Zealand.


You will be supporting the programme leadership team by being responsible for providing, high quality, financial and non-financial information to a wide group of internal and external stakeholders as well as assisting programme managers with their day to day financial requirements.

  • Ability to build robust and transparent reporting for a multi year programme,  
  • Ability to build and manage diverse stakeholder relationships to drive outcomes
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to confidently convey complex financial information simply and concisely 
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative, sound judgement, and discretion
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaborative abilities and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with others
  • Must be a New Zealand citizens or New Zealand permanent resident visa holder.
