We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Communications Advisor to lead how we engage and communicate with internal and external audiences across the Our Future Services programme.
Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
This role goes beyond delivering communications. You will design and drive an integrated engagement and communication approach that supports understanding, participation and adoption across the programme.
You’ll work closely with programme leadership to identify key moments that matter, align engagement across initiatives and continuously improve how we connect with our people and key stakeholders.
The position reports to the Manager Communications, Immigration, with a strong working relationship with the Programme Director and Programme Change Lead, Future Services.

Skills and Experience Required
- Design and lead the engagement and communication approach for the Our Future Services transformation programme
- Take a systems view of stakeholders, channels and touchpoints to enable effective engagement
- Design and deliver high quality written and digital content, using communication to support behaviour change
- Develop tools and approaches that build leader capability to have authentic, effective conversations
- Translate complex programme work into clear, relevant narratives tailored for different audiences
- Establish and use feedback loops, insights and data to continuously improve engagement approaches
- Work in an adaptive way, in a fast moving environment
- Build trusted relationships, influencing and providing high quality advice to key stakeholders
