Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

We’re looking for an exceptional Principal Advisor to lead workforce planning within the INZ Planning team. You’ll work closely with the Planning Manager to align day-to-day and long-term workforce strategies with INZ’s priorities and policy changes.


This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where people are at the heart of every decision. Your insights will shape how we understand and plan for our workforce.

Working in our team, you will:

  • Report to and work closely with the Planning Manager, and work in a team of three Principal Advisors, two Senior Advisors and three Workforce Planners.
  • Provide well informed workforce planning advice and maintain a wide range of planning artefacts that are relied on within the business. 
  • Be able to make the complex simple, articulate and illustrate your advice clearly.

Skills and Experience Required
 

 

  • Experience supporting cross organisational planning.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative within the role.
  • Well-developed written, verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Strong technical experience with PowerBI and Excel is required.
  • Experience in hands-on delivery and artefact development.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong applicants will have experience as Workforce Planners in other complex organisations or may be VOMs, or Immigration Managers (or equivalent).
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant workforce planning or human resources discipline.
