Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Principal Advisor Strategic Planning to join the Immigration Strategy and Governance team. In this role, you will lead immigration business planning and support the delivery of the immigration system strategy.
Working closely with the Strategy and Governance Manager, you will play a key role in the development of the immigration system strategy and the alignment of business planning to the strategy.
We are currently refreshing our system wide organisational strategy ‘Striking the Balance’ and you will be heavily involved in this piece of work, engaging with senior leaders and key stakeholders as we build a strategic plan that contributes to the MBIE vision to ‘Grow New Zealand for all’.

- Leading business planning processes.
- Developing and delivering workshops
- Developing strategic plans and reporting
- Producing high quality business and project plans
- Effectively engaging with senior leaders and key stakeholders
- The ability to work independently and take initiative within the role.
- Well-developed written, verbal and visual communication skills.
- Experience in hands-on delivery and strategy and planning artefact development.
