Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

 

As Principal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Office of the Deputy Secretary, Strategy and Assurance.  You’ll work across Strategy and Assurance and key corporate teams to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise priority projects. Your advice will help shape decisions at the highest levels, including for the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership team and ownership minister.

 

This is a senior role that demands strong leadership, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to connect issues across teams.  You’ll work closely with teams across MBIE  to ensure that advice is timely, strategic and fit for purpose.

Skills and Experience Required
 

•    Excellent writing and communication skills.
•    Significant experience working with and writing for Ministers and senior decision makers.
•    Strong collaboration with policy and delivery teams to reflect customer perspectives.
•    Strategic foresight and ability to see the big picture.
•    Intellectual agility to manage multiple complex ideas and integrate diverse perspectives.
•    Skilled at navigating complex advisory processes and organisational dynamics.
•    Proven ability to deliver under tight timeframes.
•    Experience mentoring others and building capability.
•    A relevant tertiary qualification.
•    Legal right to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand.
