Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

We have an exciting newly created position for a PA/Team Administrator to provide efficient and effective administration support to managers and teams within the Legal, Ethics & Privacy group.


As the Personal Assistant/Team Administrator you will be accountable for providing a high level of support to managers and teams in the branch to ensure they can effectively perform their role and efficiently use their time and skill to help deliver MBIE’s outcomes. You will use strong relationship management and organisational skills to process assigned tasks and resolve issues.  You will be supported by a great team and network to help you get up to speed and thrive in this role.


Your day might involve managing financial and human resources processes, organising travel, contract management, organising work and social events for teams and the branch, diary management, finding IT solutions, and working with other admin staff to ensure effective operation of the Branch as a whole. 


You might be an experienced PA or team administrator, or you might be a recent graduate with a desire to work for a diverse government organisation and contribute to MBIE’s commitment to shape and deliver a strong economy and Grow New Zealand for All.  Whatever your background you must have passion, enthusiasm, energy and the drive to succeed.

  • Experience providing personal, administrative or customer-focused support.
  • Demonstrated agility and ability to respond to changes in demands and priorities.
  • Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes.
  • Sound relationship management skills.
  • Good standard of computer literacy and word processing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to prioritise to achieve MBIE outcomes.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible and dynamic environment.
