Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

We have an exciting new opening for an ambitious Personal Assistant/Team Administrator to support the Head of Tenancy and the Tenancy Services leadership team here at MBIE.  


In this role you will provide exemplary administrative support in a pragmatic and constructive way that will enable the Head of Tenancy to keep commitments and to achieve deliverables. You will quickly shape this role to your style and work to ensure the logistics of the team are running smoothly. 


A strong client focus is important as well as the ability to flex and adapt your approach when needed, helping the Head of Tenancy to achieve priorities and meet responsibilities.  You will maintain effective internal and external relationships, deal with high level, urgent and confidential issues and work effectively with other support staff.

 

You’ll be at home operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and you’ll enjoy the challenge of working to meet key priorities and tight deadlines.

Skills and Experience Required
 

  • Proven experience in a PA or Team Administrator role or similar
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and the ability to quickly pick up a range of business systems
  • Experience with diary management and travel organisation
  • Confident and experienced at organising meetings, building agendas, taking minutes and managing actions
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Confident working with senior managers and team members and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive working style and the initiative to get things done
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
