- Opportunity to lead Group capability development and supporting TWSD People & Culture (P&C) team and branch leadership teams to develop workforce strategy
- Working closely with Group Senior Management Team to provide advice and support
- Connect with other business groups learning and development teams within MBIE to share insights and best practice
Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
The Manager, Group Capability and Workforce Strategy helps to ensure that the Group human capital resources meet current and future business needs through capability building and strategic workforce planning, and our people are well supported with the right level of skills for their current role and future career aspirations.
This role will work closely with Group Senior Management Team (SMT), Branches Business Managers, TWSD P&C Business Partners, Pou Whakatairanga (Group Māori Director) and Capability and Learning Delivery Managers in other MBIE Business Groups.

Skills and Experience Required
- Experienced at a senior level in a strategic capability development role.
- Experienced in the development and implementation of strategic workforce plans.
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work and facilitate across the business units.
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of corporate management disciplines and techniques.
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of the machinery of government and relevant operating procedures and policies that apply within the state sector.
