Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
The Integrity Coordinator reports to the Head of Integrity within the Legal, Ethics and Privacy Branch and contributes to the delivery and monitoring of the Ministry's Integrity function and work programme. The Integrity Team aims to lift capability across a diverse and complex organisation for people to understand and do the right thing. The team also investigates allegations of wrongdoing against Ministry staff.
In this role you will play a key role managing the receipt of integrity allegations into alleged fraud or corruption, dishonesty, breaches of conflicts of interest, loss or misappropriation of information or data, and other insider threats. You will carry out the initial review and triage of allegations to recommend the most effective way in which to deal with allegations. You may also support protected disclosure investigations. You will also provide quality assurance and monitoring, tracking and reporting of investigations throughout their lifecycle, and assist in providing strong assurance to the Ministry's Integrity Assessment Panel.
The Integrity Coordinator contributes to continuous improvement of the Ministry’s Integrity Framework to support a strong culture of integrity organisation-wide.
This role provides open progression pathways both within the Legal, Ethics and Privacy branch and wider MBIE.

To be successful in this role you will need the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- An ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people at all levels, both internal and external to MBIE.
- Conceptual and analytical skills to critically assess issues for the purpose of case management and administration.
- Ability to comfortably identify and discuss the issues arising from an allegation appropriately with business managers.
- Personal resources, skills and knowledge to anticipate the needs of investigators in their casework and in the prioritising of their workload.
- Proven ability to quickly build and maintain strong working relationships and gain buy-in / commitment from managers and internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise at times where unpredicted and urgent requests arise.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated high levels of integrity.
- Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
