Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

As the Head of Strategic Finance, you will be leading MBIE’s strategic forward focussed financial success, directly influencing our ability to achieve key objectives through robust planning and performance monitoring.


Your holistic approach to financial management, encompassing a 3–5-year horizon, will guide critical decisions across overhead allocation, intra-charging, major project investments, and forecasting.

  • Proven experience in leading cross-system integration in a medium to large public sector or business organisation
  • Wide ranging knowledge of the process needed to lead and develop a finance and performance function at senior leadership level
  • CA qualified with experience in senior finance management and in reporting to Executive or Ministerial level
  • Ability to establish and build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate complex issues from one level to another
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
