We’re looking for a confident, highly organised Executive Assistant to provide exceptional executive support to the Chief Financial Officer within MBIE’s Corporate & Digital Shared Services group. This is a great opportunity for an experienced EA- or a capable professional ready to step up- who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
As the Executive Assistant to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in keeping the wheels turning smoothly. You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the CFO’s diary, priorities, and workflow
- Coordinating meetings, communications, and key documents
- Preparing correspondence, papers, and briefing material
- Monitoring incoming information and ensuring timely follow up
- Working closely with the wider support and Corporate & Digital teams
This role requires someone who is proactive, resourceful, and always one step ahead. You’ll be trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, juggle competing demands, and maintain calm professionalism under pressure. A strong client focus and the ability to understand the finance branch’s priorities will be key to your success.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience providing EA/PA support at senior leadership level
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- High attention to detail and comfort working at pace
- Strong judgement, initiative, and a solutions focused approach
- Confident relationship management skills across a wide range of people
- Advanced Microsoft Office capability
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
