Overview
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a Crown agent established under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000. EECA’s mandate is to encourage, promote, and support energy efficiency, energy conservation, and the use of renewable energy sources in New Zealand.
Skills and experience required
At this time the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as Chair of the Committee.
The Chair provides strategic leadership to the Financial Advice Code Committee, ensuring effective and inclusive governance, guiding the Code’s ongoing development, and representing the Committee with integrity to stakeholders.
Specific Skills and Experience Required
- Proven governance and leadership experience, including as a chairperson.
- Knowledge of public sector accountability and regulatory environments in New Zealand.
- Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with Ministers and senior public sector officials.
- Strategic thinker with strong communication and influencing skills.
- A track record of working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to reach consensus.
