Person specifications - Director

The Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology is seeking experienced directors with proven strategic financial leadership capability. You will have:

• Proven governance experience.

• A genuine interest in science and its economic benefit for New Zealand.

• Strategic financial leadership, including audit and risk experience.

• Strong business and commercial acumen, including industry connections.

Additional skills, experience and attributes

• Commercialisation and innovation experience.

• Stakeholder management experience.

• Knowledge and experience in the science and research system.

• Media and public relations experience.

• Public health experience.

• Expertise in change management and human resources.
