Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
Are you passionate about developing learning that lifts procurement capability across the public sector? Join our small, collaborative team at New Zealand Government Procurement and help shape initiatives that build commercial acumen and strengthen procurement practice across government.
As a Capability Development Advisor, you’ll:
- Design and implement procurement capability initiatives, including supporting the build of our learning curriculum.
- Use capability best practice to support the development of learning initiatives
- Build solutions that contribute to organisational procurement effectiveness and best practice.
- Interpret data sets to make insights about the effectiveness of our capability programmes.
- Provide practical advice and hands-on support to government agencies.
- Work on projects that influence procurement capability across the entire public sector.
Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in developing and implementing effective training programmes, materials and resources.
- Experience contributing to projects and achieving successful outcomes.
- Understands learning methodologies and best adult learning practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A tertiary qualification in adult learning, human resources or similar – or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the public sector and government procurement policy is an advantage but not essential.
- You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
