Do you love coaching leaders, building capability, and providing grounded, practical advice that helps teams get on with their mahi? If you get energy from being “in it” - supporting managers, navigating complex situations, and keeping work moving - you’ll enjoy being part of our team.
We’re recruiting for two roles within our busy portfolio:
- Business Partner (4 month fixed term)
- Senior Advisor (fixed term until 30 June 2027)
These roles sit at the heart of our day to day P&C delivery, working closely with leaders and teams to support great people outcomes across MBIE.

Skills and Experience Required
- Solid HR generalist expertise across key HR disciplines
- Confidence working with ER matters
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Sound judgement and the ability to make good calls in real time
- A coaching mindset and a genuine interest in helping leaders grow
- Problem solving ability and the resilience to juggle competing demands
- A collaborative, team first attitude
- Experience in change processes and an understanding of organisational dynamics
- Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
