Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:


As a Business Analyst in the ODS Branch, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling and empowering TWSD functions to deliver strategic outcomes aligned with financial obligations. You’ll contribute to the group’s monitoring and reporting programme, support technology changes, and ensure business and quality management processes are fit-for-purpose and effective.

 

This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of expertise, providing robust advice and clarity to how work is commissioned and governed across TWSD.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage reporting tools using Power BI, SAS, and SharePoint.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support governance and decision-making.
  • Coordinate group reporting and drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate complex information clearly across all levels.
  • Build and sustain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide advisory support for the group business management and assurance functions

Skills and Experience Required
 

  • Proven experience in analytical roles using complex data.
  • Strong skills in SAS, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to design business intelligence solutions and analyse data requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong time and task management abilities.
  • Commitment to outstanding client service and public value.
  • Working knowledge of public sector processes.
  • Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
