Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

We’re looking for an experienced and highly capable Advisor – Bond to support the delivery of assurance, performance monitoring, and machinery of government responsibilities within the tenancy bond system.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Principal Advisor Bond, supporting key activities such as Official Information Act responses, complaints, Ministerial requests, and sensitive case monitoring. You’ll also play a key role in helping Building and Tenancy achieve its regulatory stewardship aspirations and supporting the Tenancy Leadership Team on high priority projects and initiatives, including ABODE system enhancements and benefit delivery.

 

The Advisor – Bond brings strong business understanding and regulatory insight, working in partnership across the tenancy regulatory system, Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery, MBIE and other stakeholders. You’ll help ensure tenancy practices are well designed, documented, efficient, and aligned with best practice.

 

You’ll also lead and deliver a range of practice and business-owner activities, representing the branch on key projects and initiatives that impact the wider tenancy system.

Skills and Experience Required
 

  • Knowledge of the tenancy regulatory system and tenancy law
  • Experience with process documentation, methodologies and case management systems
  • Understanding of change management and quality management systems
  • Strong strategic thinking, risk awareness and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • High integrity and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven project planning and prioritisation skills
  • A collaborative, flexible approach and the ability to build trust quickly
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
