Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
As an Analyst you will support the Manager Enterprise Performance and the Principal Advisor to model scenarios, build reports to provide advice and insights to support the wider finance and performance team. You will ensure quality and consistency of advice and processes, lift performance, and drive new and innovative ways of delivery across the branch, Finance and Performance and wider MBIE.
In this team you will be supported to grow your skills, build relationships, and help drive an integrated planning and performance reporting cycle across the Ministry.

- Excellent Excel skills and experience modelling or working with large financial data sets
- Ability to analyse financial data and provide advice or insights
- Demonstrated communication, facilitation, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information in plain language
- A team player with proven ability to develop trust and credibility and build strong working relationships with managers and staff
- Understanding of ‘machinery of government’ and Public Sector reporting requirements an advantage but not essential
- Must have the legal righ to live and work in New Zealand
