Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

We are looking for an early career marketer or someone interested in making the move to marketing to join the Operational Marketing team in a full-time capacity, reporting to the Manager of Operational Marketing. 


You will be part of the Operational Marketing team which operates within Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment whose role is to educate the world about migrating to New Zealand. 


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small and fast-paced team. 


We are looking for someone who is: 

  • Results-focussed and detail-oriented – this is a marketing role with a depth of data expertise! 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative way with internal stakeholders and external suppliers 
  • Technically savvy and comfortable with learning and using software. Would suit a marketer who has an analytical bent, with some skills in database management, marketing automation and CRM software. 
  • Practical, values effectiveness and efficiency – but with an ability to be agile and respond quickly and efficiently. 
  • Curious and inquisitive, always looking for opportunities to use data insights to make improvements. 
  • Comfortable working with data – collecting, interpreting, and presenting it.

Skills and Experience Required
 

We are keen to hear from you if you have: 

 

  • Some experience in a marketing role with knowledge in any of the following; data management, email marketing, and website CRM systems. 
  • Proficiency in digital copywriting and proof reading for web, email and social media. Excellent grammar and attention to detail would go a long way. 
  • Some knowledge of marketing performance measurement tools i.e. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, or email performance. 
  • Ability to manipulate and manage data, some experience in excel or power bi would be advantageous. 
  • Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships with teammates, and with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in marketing, information management, or business and/or comparable relevant experience. 
  • For your application to be considered you must be a New Zealand citizen or have New Zealand permanent residency.
