Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

The Digital Engagement Advisor role sits within the Online Channels team of the Customer Service Delivery branch here at MBIE. In this role you will support the team to drive positive change in how our customers experience our channels across our portfolios.

 

We're looking for a digital generalist that will contribute to a busy and fast-moving team.

 

You will help to ensure that our websites and digital tools are well-maintained, regularly updated and effectively deliver key content and messages following NZ government web standards and best practice. You will help to deliver easy to understand information to a variety of customers and communities.

You are a versatile and a high performing individual, who is passionate about the online environment and delivering positive outcomes to our diverse audiences.

 
You will bring:

 

  • Knowledge of the NZ Government standards for accessibility and usability, accessibility charter requirements, as well as a grasp of web best practice and digital trends.
  • Ability to edit and maintain websites in Content Management Systems, preferably Silverstripe or similar experience in improving website usability and accessibility.
  • Ability to write and communicate complex technical information accurately and clearly in accessible plain language for web, so that it is well understood, including legislation or technical guidance. 
  • The ability to effectively manage your time and competing priorities to ensure high quality results on time.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team where functions must work together to achieve group/branch and team priorities from planning to delivery and reporting.
  • Ability to work confidently without having the total picture and handling uncertainty.
  • Ability to use website analytics (Google Analytics).
  • Relevant qualification or certification desired.
