Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:


The MBIE Customer Service Centre (MCSC) provides customer services to multiple business units within MBIE as well as some external Government Agencies. The role of the Team Leader is to motivate, inspire and develop a high performing team within the Service Centre. The Team Leader supports their team as they assist clients to meet their statutory obligations and make use of the services of MBIE and the wider Government.  


Our team is the interface for customer interaction with MBIE, and we employ people who put our customers' needs front and centre of their work. The ideal candidate for this role will lead and inspire their team to deliver best practice, customer focused service.


To support our Client Services Advisor’s (CSA) and Senior CSA’s to deliver quality outcomes to our customers, this permanent Team Leader position in the MCSC North (Auckland CBD) requires flexibility to work between the hours of 6:00 am and 10:00 pm.

Skills and Experience Required
 

To be successful, you will: 

  • Have proven experience in successfully leading teams.
  • Have a strong understanding of Contact Centre operations, in aan omnichannel environment.
  • Have strong people leadership skills with experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring people to achieve successful results.  
  • Have an empowering and inclusive approach to leadership.  
  • Be a great team player, who takes on board the advice of those around them and supports and coaches’ others to do the same.
  • Be proactive and can deliver under pressure.
  • Have a growth mindset - developing yourself, as well as your team.
  • Have relationship and communication skills to build trust and rapport with your team, peers, customers, and stakeholders. 
  • Experience leading people in a changing and complex environment.
