Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
As a Refugee Health Administration Officer, you will provide administrative support to the Refugee Health Liaison Team and help ensure the quality and consistency of the team’s work. This role supports the coordination of health-related information, communication with internal and external stakeholders, accurate data entry and reporting, and the smooth running of team administration. You will work closely with your manager and team members in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, sound judgement, and strong organisation are essential.
- Provide timely, accurate and professional support to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to queries and coordinating communications.
- Support the Refugee Health Liaison Team with administration for meetings, correspondence, file management, and office processes.
- Maintain accurate physical and electronic records, ensuring confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately.
- Enter, transfer and manage health-related information across relevant systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare reports and collate information to support team operations, including material for High Needs meetings and contract reporting.

Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A background in medical administration is preferred.
- Knowledge of the health system, primary care, or Patient Management Systems would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new systems, health-related knowledge, and terminology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- The ability to manage fluctuating workloads in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Experience using information systems and computer technology, including accurate and timely data entry.
- A positive and respectful approach to working with people from different cultures, genders, and abilities.
- A commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work and meeting deadlines.
- The ability to gain and maintain a national security clearance as required.
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a permanent residence visa.
