Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in delivering expert insolvency and trustee services?  Do you thrive on managing complex cases and contributing to high-impact work?  If so we invite you to apply for the position of Lead Insolvency Officer.

 

As a Lead Insolvency Officer, you will be responsible for administering complex company liquidations, personal bankruptcies, and criminal asset management cases.  You will also help analyse current best practice procedures, conduct regional fieldwork, audit cases and support Insolvency and Trustee Services (ITS) managers and personnel.


This is a unique opportunity to enhance service delivery, strengthen stakeholder relationships and apply your expertise to make a meaningful impact.

 

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Administer complex insolvency cases and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Provide expert guidance and support to ITS managers and teams
  • Deliver high-quality service to clients and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including with MBIE leaders, ministers and other government agencies
  • Contribute to regional criminal proceeds management fieldwork

Skills and Experience Required
 

  • A tertiary qualification in law or commerce (or equivalent practical insolvency administration experience)
  • Deep understanding and ability to apply relevant legislation
  • Extensive commercial, operational and legislative knowledge in insolvency practices
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage workflows, prioritise tasks and perform under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and information databases
  • Coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to positively influence and support others
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster trust, confidence and effective working relationships
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
