Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
The Senior Regional Advisor for Kānoa – Regional Economic Development & Investment Unit (Kānoa) is regionally based and supports the economic development work programme for the lower South Island. You will work closely with regional stakeholders, including local government leaders, economic development agencies and iwi.
Our preference is for the candidate to be based in Otago/Southland and to be familiar with the labour market in the Lower South Island.

Skills and Experience Required
- You are always one step ahead of your regions, anticipating what is required and when, delivering to a high standard.
- You are not afraid to respectfully question the status quo, looking for ways for us to collectively do better and will bring your ideas to the table.
- You have demonstrable experience project managing programmes of all sizes.
- As someone embedded in your community, you will have existing strong relationships with regional stakeholders, government agencies, iwi and a bonus if you have a good handle on the local labour market.
